"May all your joys be real joys and all your pains, champagne." - Anonymous
Houston Llew Spiritile Number #048 | Bubbly*
We are proud to be one of Washington's only Houston Llew Spiritile retailers!
Houston Llew Spirit Tiles includes an image and quote that is meant to invoke a memory or feeling. The quote begins on the left side and finishes on the right. Made with copper, glass, and wood, this elegant piece can be hung on a wall or stand alone. Its timeless design will never fade or tarnish, making it the perfect gift or a true work of art for your home.
How are Houston Llew Spiritiles made? Powdered glass, or “frit,” are laid onto a perfectly cut copper canvas. A series of stencils are used for each layer of color. Then hand sifters and playing cards are used as tools to carve out the design. Once delicately aligned and layered, the glass and metal are then carefully placed in the red-hot kiln.
*Each tile is unique! Color hues may vary and natural cracking occurs in the glass during the enameling process which helps reflect light and bring your tile to life.
